Learn the steps of colt starting and gain experience with a young pony, as we teach you the skills to start your own pony under saddle.
Welcome to Pony Breaking!
>> Advanced Young Rider Requirements:
Ages 10-14
Ability to catch, saddle, bridle and independently gallop a broke horse through an open field.
Minimum Five Years of regular riding including lessons, showing, trails, or ownership.
We currently have one pony ready to start Buckaroo break-in this March. Draco Malfoy, 12hh colt, coming 4 years old. Blue Eyes, White Legs, Liver Chestnut. He is handsome and gentle with a cute trot! His dam is part welsh bay mare, and his sire is Professor Snape - our former lesson pony.

Buckaroo Break-In
This Pony will be your bestie for the next year.
$650 / month
Buckaroo Break-In Program:
Esprit Ponies will pair you with a fresh pony, and this is your leased pony for the next year. Esprit Equestrian will board, feed, hoof trim and vet care the pony.
Under trainer tutelage, the student will start this pony from scratch. Start with halter breaking and moving forward to riding and showing.
You will have access to your pony during normal barn hours. A knowledgeable adult must be present if outside of lesson times.
Buckaroo Break-In Lesson Times are set at 30 min, from 7-730pm, Monday thru Thursday. Please arrive early to bond with your pony and be best prepared for class!
Tack and equipment provided. We also have shared space to store your saddle and make this your new working barn. You are welcome to use our saddles and tack.

Half priced hauling to shows and events!
$250 Cash Bonus Paid to rider at the end of one year in the Buckaroo program, if your pony is broke enough to immediately work lessons, pony rides, and camps.
Humble Bragging Rights for developing young stock.
